Harriet Boyd Hawes (1871 – 1945) was a pioneering American archaeologist, nurse and relief worker. She is best known as the discoverer and first director of Gournia, one of the first archaeological excavations to uncover a Minoan settlement and palace on Crete. A Very Rare work along the Prehistoric Minoan archaeology, rarely available in its original 1908 edition.
