Bunting H., “Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae oder Reisse buch uber die gantze heilige Schrifft”, Erfurt, 1754. A richly illustrated edition. Contemporary full leather with two fine contemporary clasps, slightly rubbed. Text and plates clean. Frontis, title in red and black, pp.24 [4], 492, [3], 298, 112, 102, 378, [6] and thirty five (35) copper engraved plates (9 folded, including two rare maps, not in Zacharakis). A very good copy. Heinrich Bunting (1545-1606), an educated priest, travelled in the Levant. The Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae has been first published in 1581 and remained popular.
