Bernard traveled in the eastern Mediterranean and the Black sea during the last part of 19th century. He provides detailed and accurate pictures of all the coastal areas. His travel around the Black sea had been concluded before 1878, while present Batumi was still Ottoman. The trip from Salonique to Jerusalem, all across Macedonian and Anatolian coastlines had been concluded just after the war of 1897. Full of precious information and fine views. RARE
