Scarce copper engraving depicting the naval conflicts between Venetian and Ottoman fleets at Dardanelles. It provides a detailed view of the Ottoman fortifications, positions of the fleets and scenes of naval engagements. A key on the lower part refers to the names of the ships/captains. The title is dated in 1646 indicating that the scene is a depiction of the first Venetian effort to blockade the Dardanelles, in order to cut the reinforcement lines between Constantinople and the under seize Candia (Heraklion).
