Laborde L., “Athenes aux XV, XVI et XVII siecles”, Paris 1854. First edition. In 4to, 25x16cm, two volumes complete, 276p. 392p., twenty two (22) engraved plates, some folding, 5 leaves replaced with facsimiles, contemporary leather over boards slightly rubbed, browned and spotted as usual (due to the quality of used paper) in volume one, lightly in volume two, overall very good. A comprehensive account for Athens during the early Ottoman period up to the Venetian conquest. The plates includes most of the drawings ever made for Athens during those times, including early drawings of Parthenon by Carrey before the bombardment. Still a very important reference for the city. Atabey 643, Blackmer 932
