The Second Separate Printing of the Greek text of Xenophons Cyropaedia, a popular text in Renaissance and seventeenth-century classrooms. The work was separately printed for the first time at Louvain, in 1527 (Hoffmann III, 581). Part I consists of the first four books, and part II of the last four. Handwritten contemporary notes (possibly student of the time) in Latin on first sheets margins. Water-stain throughout, more evident at pp.109-118 of first book & last sheets of second book. Contemporary binding: full leather, spine with raised bands & blind-stamped decorations in gilt, reddish edges, lrubbed along edges & joints.
