Goldsmith Oliver, “The History of Greece. From the Earliest state to the death of Alexander the Great… to which is added, a summary account of the affairs of Greece, from that period to the sacking of Constantinople by the Othomans”, London, Yhomas Tegg, 1827. Edition reprinted during the Greek War of Independence, following the international interest along the Greek affairs. Contemporary binding, full leather with blind-stamped decorations in gilt on covers and spine, spine with raised bands. Externally rubbed, interior: first two sheets detached, otherwise clean, tight and very fine.
