ONE OF THE VERY FIRST POCKET GUIDES for Antiquities in Greece ever printed .With the first influx of travelers to Athens and the other famous places of Ancient Greece ,the need for compact ,somehow pocket standard, guides occur. Travelers needed a short guide with the general knowledge of Greek art , to be able to recognize on the spot and/or copy what s important.  Lambert Bos, a famous Dutch scholar ,an authority during early 18th century on Ancient Greek art, published a comprehensive short account on the antiquities in Greece and particular in Athens. Most of these early Greek Art guides have now perished .Very rare
