First and only edition, in Imperial Folio 55,5x38cm,contemporary leather over marbled boards, slightly rubbed, some missing  leather at the corners of spine, complete: two volumes in one,2 lithographed titles and 24 beautiful Folio plates after Lady Alicia Blackwood, including 5 impressive folding panoramas of huge size (with more plates each),clean and bright, overall very good.

Impressive views of Constantinople, the Bosphorus and the Crimea, one of the best work published for the Levant in middle 19th century. It has been dedicated to Florence Nightingale by Lady Blackwood who worked with her at the hospital in Scutari, Constantinople during Crimean war. It was sold to raise funds.
