A unique complete guide for Macedonia. During WW1 British Intelligence prepared an extremely detailed guide for the British officers who fought on the Macedonian frontline .It includes geographical outlines and routes, climate, hygiene conditions, ethnological composition and peoples, local administration, money weights and measures used, notes for the spelling of the place names, itineraries with every road and track existed and many information for every town and port. Meticulous description  of all main Macedonian cities, lengthy accounts on all routes including most villages. Includes also the islands of Lemnos, Thassos, Imbros and Samothrace as well as all wider  Macedonia of that time. By far, the best contemporary accurate description of Macedonia .It was a secret publication for official use only, and attention was clearly called to the penalties attaching to any infraction of the Official Secrets Act. Logically very few of these books survived the war. Extremely rare travel account for Macedonia.
