John Potter (c. 1674 – 10 October 1747), Archbishop of Canterbury, was skilled in Greek and very interested in classical history. His work Archæologia Græca, originally published in 1697 and 1698, met a remarkable success, reprinted several times almost 2 centuries after the first edition. Fine edition of one of the most influential English studies along Grecian antiquity, adorned with fine copper engravings.
