PREZIOSI Amedeo, [A Greek Orthodox priest collects offerings at the entrance to a church], c.1870. Scarce mid. 19th century print of Amedeo Preziosi’s painting, framed and bearing on reverse the label of “R. ROSEMBERG / Pera, Teke 593”, atelier & bookshop of Constantinople. Count Amedeo Preziosi (December 2, 1816 - September 27, 1882) was a Maltese painter known for his watercolours and prints of the Balkans & Ottoman Empire.
