MAUCLAIR Camille, Athènes / Trente planches en couleur d’après les tableaux de Paul Bret. Paris: Henri Laurens, 1935. First edition, second issue. In 4to, pp. [iv] 1-171 [2] (p.[i]=ht, p.[2]=colophon dated 1946). Title in red and black. With 30 mounted colour reproductions, dim. 11x13cm., attached on sheet. The title page dates from 1935 but the colophon bears the date 1946. The charming engravings are the work of Paul Bret (1902-1956) and show views of Eleusis, Aegina, Myconos and Megara (including the Trata dance, traditionally performed the first Tuesday after Easter). Half leather binding, gilt title on spine, slight edge-wear. Uncut copy, clean and tight inside. Very Good overall.
