Photograph pasted on thick carton with photographer’s cachet on verso “From ARNOLD GENTE 41 EAST 49th STREET NEW YORK”. Genthe mastered portraiture, landscape, and architectural photography in a uniquely pictorialist style. The current photograph is coming from his 1930 travel to Greece, where among other places he also visited Rhodes Island.
