The book was acquired in 1814 by the bibliophile Giulio Bernardino Tomitano from Gio. Giocomo Fuchs (continuatore di Molini Landi & Co), with the receipt attached on first volume’s free endpaper. Fine ex-libris label in gilt “Βιβλιοθήκη Σπ. Λοβέρδου” on pastedowns of the two vols. Fine contemporary binding: red morocco with large armorial centerpieces, fine tooling in gilt with paneling filets and fleurons, all edges gilt, spines richly decorated in gilt. Extensive worming throughout all the volumes including the covers. External wear along edges and joints with small chipped parts of spines extremities.
