[ROSSITIS Francesco De], “Ragguaglio distinto di quanto occorse nella campagna passata trà le Armi Christiane e Turchesche”, Venice, Nicolo Pezzana, 1684. FIRST EDITION. Small 4to, (22x16cm), pp.[6], 79. Rare day by day account of the Battle of Vienna, including a folding bird’s-eye view of the Battle entitled “VIENNA da Turchi assediata e da Chri:ni liberate”, engraved by Rossetti and based on a design by the engineer, cartographer and lieutenant colonel in the Austrian military Leandro Anguissola. Woodcut ornament on title, woodcut engr. initials and chapter ornaments. 

Contemporary calf. Small loss on spine’s edges & covers corners. Light spotting on just a few leaves, short marginal tear on the joint of the folding plan, a few marginal wormholes of final few leaves.

Not in Atabey or Blackmer.
