Nonnus of Panopolis (Νόννος ο Πανοπολίτης) was the most notable Greek epic poet of the Imperial Roman era. His epic work Dionysiaca is consisted of 48 books and considered one of the most extended survived epic works of the classical era. It is written in Homeric Greek and narrates the life of Dionysus centred around his expedition to India. Contemporary full vellum, title handwritten on label on spine.
